Ownerlane vs Wix
Wix is a large, established website builder with a drag-and-drop editor, thousands of templates and an AI website builder, available today. Ownerlane is a small business AI: you describe what you need in a chat, Nicobot builds it as code you can export, and anything a customer will see waits for your approval. Ownerlane launches publicly in December 2026.

| Ownerlane | Wix | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free plan (450 starter credits for 90 days, then 5 a month). Paid: Solo $49/month, Studio $149/month, Business $399/month. Pay yearly, get two months free (10× the monthly price). One credit is one cent of work. | A Free plan, then Light, Core, Business and Business Elite. Wix says prices and currency vary by location and are shown for yearly subscriptions; see their pricing page for yours. |
| Available | Waitlist open now. Private iPhone beta in November 2026; public launch in December 2026. | Available today. |
| How the site is made | You describe it in a chat; Nicobot plans, builds and checks it on phone, tablet and desktop, then shows you a private preview. | An AI website builder that creates a site from a prompt, plus a drag-and-drop editor and thousands of templates. |
| Exporting the site's code | Yes, in one click. | Not listed on their plans page. |
| Approvals before customers see anything | Approval-first: anything a customer will see waits for your yes; money, going live, exports and deletions need a two-step confirm. | Not listed on their plans page (you edit and publish the site yourself). |
| Payments, scheduling and e-commerce | Stripe payment links (Nicobot can't refund or move money); a booking page with a quote form can be built. No store builder. | Accept payments, eCommerce, and scheduling and services are listed from the Core plan up. |
| Marketing | Email campaigns (tested in your own inbox first) and social posts to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X, each approved. | A marketing suite on each paid plan (Light, Basic, Standard or Advanced by plan). |
| Answering phone calls | Not offered: Ownerlane does not answer phone calls. | Not listed on their plans page. |
| Where you work | Web app and Telegram today; iPhone app in beta. | Web. |
Wix shows different prices by location, so we haven't quoted paid-plan prices here.
Choose Wix if…
- You want to design the site yourself, by hand, from a large template library.
- You need an online store, scheduling or payments built into the website builder today.
- You need a site live before December 2026.
Choose Ownerlane if…
- You'd rather describe what you need than drag and drop it.
- You want every customer-facing change, reply and post held for your yes.
- You want to own and export the code, and run enquiries and campaigns from the same chat.
Ownerlane's limits today: the public launch is in December 2026 and the waitlist is open now. The iPhone app, with live voice, is in private beta; the web app and Telegram work by text. Memory and the overnight digest are coming soon. Ownerlane does not answer phone calls for your business and does not manage reviews.
