1. Our principles: conduct, not viewpoint
Ownerlane exists to help people build and run businesses. We support free expression. You may publish political, religious, social and commercial opinions, including unpopular or controversial ones; criticize public figures, companies and governments; report news; make satire and parody; and debate any subject.
We do not act on content because of the viewpoint it expresses. We act on conduct and content that the law does not protect or that directly harms people: threats, incitement to violence, targeted harassment, exploitation, fraud and similar. The rules below are written narrowly for that reason, and we apply them the same way to everyone.
This policy applies to everything you ask Nicobot to create or do, and everything you build, host, publish or send with the Service, including websites, apps, messages, images and domains. It is part of the Terms of Service.
2. Never allowed
Using the Service to create, publish, promote or send any of the following leads to removal and lockout, and may be reported:
- Sexual exploitation of children. Any material that sexually exploits or sexualizes a minor, including drawn, AI-generated or altered images, grooming, or sexual solicitation of minors.
- Sexual exploitation of anyone, including women. Sex trafficking; intimate images of a person shared or created without their consent (including "deepfake" or AI-altered images); sextortion; or content that facilitates sexual violence.
- Threats and incitement. True threats of violence against any person or group, and content intended and likely to incite imminent violence or other unlawful action.
- Threats against government officials. Threats of violence against, or plans to harm, any public official, officer, judge, election worker or their families, anywhere in the world. Criticism of officials, however strong, is not a threat and is allowed.
- Violent extremism and terrorism. Content that recruits for, funds, plans or praises acts of terrorism or violent extremist groups in a way meant to support them.
- Exploiting vulnerable people. Scams, pressure tactics or deceptive offers aimed at the elderly, minors, people in crisis, people with disabilities or others at risk; human trafficking and forced labor; and content that encourages suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.
3. Hate and harassment
You may not use the Service to:
- promote violence against, or dehumanize, people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, veteran status or another protected characteristic;
- target a specific person with harassment, intimidation, stalking, doxxing (publishing private details such as a home address) or coordinated abuse;
- discriminate unlawfully, for example in housing, lending, hiring or access to services.
Discussing, reporting on, quoting or criticizing these subjects, including for education, history, art, advocacy or research, is allowed.
4. Other harmful or illegal uses
- Fraud, phishing, impersonation of a person or brand, fake reviews, fake testimonials or fabricated credentials.
- Malware, spyware, credential theft, hacking, or attacking or overloading any system, including Ownerlane.
- Spam: unsolicited bulk messages, or messaging people without the consent the law requires.
- Selling or promoting illegal goods or services, including illegal weapons and controlled substances.
- Infringing someone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.
- Collecting or exposing personal, health or financial information without a lawful basis and required notices.
- Unlicensed regulated services, or false health, legal or financial claims likely to cause harm.
- Getting around our limits, credits, approvals, safety checks, or another customer's workspace.
5. How we enforce this, fairly
Nicobot refuses requests that plainly break this policy. Decisions to suspend or lock out an account are made by a person at Platform, LLC, not by an automated system, and every decision is recorded.
- Proportionate action. Depending on severity we may warn you, remove content, take a site offline, block requests, suspend the account, or lock it out permanently. Any conduct in Section 2 leads to immediate lockout.
- Notice and a chance to respond. We tell you what we did and why, and you can reply or appeal through Support or info@theplatformllc.com. We don't give notice first where the law forbids it, where it would put someone at risk, or where it would compromise an investigation.
- Appeals. A different person from the one who made the decision reviews each appeal, and we will lift a lockout that was a mistake.
- Lockout. While an account is locked out, it and its workspaces can't send Nicobot work, approve actions or publish, from the web or from Telegram.
6. Reporting to authorities
We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as US law requires. We report threats against government officials and other credible threats to life or safety to law enforcement. When we report, we preserve the related account information and content as the law requires.
Otherwise, we disclose customer information to government agencies only as described in the Privacy Policy: in response to valid legal process, or in a good-faith emergency. We do not report people for lawful speech or lawful political, religious or social views.
7. Report abuse
If you see something built or sent with Ownerlane that breaks this policy, tell us at info@theplatformllc.com with a link or screenshot. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. To report child sexual exploitation directly, use the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.
